The ONE Campaign

ONE tackles the big causes of extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa. We fight for gender equality, youth employment, quality education, access to health services and much more. The issues that ONE works on are included in 17 Global Goals agreed by world leaders to end poverty and fight inequality by 2030.

Global Sustainable Development with The ONE Campaign

The world has just made its biggest ever promise to itself. Our leaders have agreed to 17 Global Goals that would mean a better life for all of us. They would virtually end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and tackle climate change in the next 15 years. It’s one of the most incredible to-do lists ever written – but now we need to turn words into action.

You – yes you – have the power to make sure our leaders keep these world-changing promises. You’ve got almost 7 million ONE members standing behind you, so let’s make it happen.

The ONE Campaign – Advocating Against Global Poverty

What is the ONE Campaign? It is an international, nonpartisan, non-profit, advocacy organization that fights extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa, by raising public awareness and pressuring political leaders to support effective policies and programs that are saving lives and improving futures. It is backed by a movement of nearly six million members around the world.

ONE was originally founded by a coalition of 11 non-profit humanitarian and advocacy organizations, including DATA, World Vision, Oxfam America, and Bread for the World, with funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The name ONE was inspired by the belief that one voice, coming together with many others — the political left and right, business leaders, activists, faith leaders and students — can change the world for the better.
